Screenplay by TONY WILLIAMSON   Directed by CYRIL FRANKEL     A scientist tries to create super-humans equal to the Champions—and tricks Sharron into taking part in the experiment.     The fact that Craig Stirling (STUART DAMON), Sharron Macready (ALEXANDRA BASTEDO) and Richard Barrett (WILLIAM GAUNT) possess remarkable physical and mental powers has not gone unobserved among people interested in the activities of the Nemesis organisation.   One man who wants to discover the truth is a power-mad scientist, Dr. Glind (DAVID BAUER), who has been carrying out experiments to produce people with similar outstanding powers, using four guinea-pigs, Marion (CAROLINE BLAKISTON), Jean (JONATHAN BURN), Paul (PETER J. ELLIOTT) and Susan (NITA LORRAINE).   He has already achieved some success by speeding up their minds and reactions to a fantastic degree. Now he has to discover more about the super-human qualities of the three Nemesis agents, and how their powers were obtained. And, once he has learned everything possible, he has to eliminate them—they are the only people in the world to threaten the superiority of his own creations.   Sharron is tricked into visiting Glind’s establishment, where she is asked to take part in a secret project. Glind tries to brain-wash her, but she resists every effort. Nevertheless, she slips more and more into the trap he has set for her. Craig and Richard are also tricked into breaking into the establishment and when they enter, the four guinea-pigs are waiting for them.   The two Champions put up a good fight, and their opponents have to retire. Meanwhile, Sharron has realised that Glind has turned his subjects into super-humans by speeding up their brain reactions to such an extent that in fifteen minutes their brains will be unable to take any more. They will become lifeless “vegetables.” Glind is unaware that she has switched in a microphone and has been able to warn the four of this.
